Carpenters and Cook County Workers Volunteer in Rebuilding Together 100 Days of Service Project

Last week Carpenters Local1 Business Representative Tony Guida and Journeyman Eddie Castillo joined Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago and Cook County President Toni Preckwinkle for an event celebrating Rebuilding Together’s 100 Days of Service, a program that revitalizes communities and provides home improvement projects for 100 families in Chicago and Cook County.Local 1 and the Chicago Regional Council are longstanding partners of Rebuilding Together. Last month a crew of Local 1 members volunteered their time to build a new front porch and back stairs for an elderly woman in Englewood who has cancer and desperately needed the repairs.
