INSTALL™ Program

INSTALLTM– Installation Standards Training ALLiance is associated with the floor covering arm of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) and its training program. For years, INSTALL has been providing the highest quality, most comprehensive training and certification available for installers of floor covering materials in residential and commercial markets. INSTALL flooring mechanics are trained in an exhaustive five-year program that leaves no relevant issue unaddressed. The first year consists of pre-apprenticeship training where students work as helpers in order to get a feel for the trade. The remaining four years of the program consist of 11 weeks of school instruction (one week per quarter) and on-the-job training. Graduates of this training have consistently been called upon to provide dependable, qualified labor to install products in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications. These products include carpet, linoleum, hardwood, laminate, vinyl and other resilients, as well as sports surfaces and artificial turf.
