Improving your skills is important to your career

Carpenters must maintain, upgrade and enhance their skills; with that goal in mind the Skill Advancement Program was developed. This program ensures that our industry maintains the best trained and most skilled work force for which our area is known.

Through the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, approximately 8,000 of our members take advantage of 300 evening and weekend courses offered by our Carpenter Skill Advancement Program every year. These courses are taught in several languages and are offered at our five training centers.
