MACRC members are working on the transformation and restoration of Chicago’s iconic Shedd Aquarium.
The four-phase construction project – part of it’s $500 million Centennial Commitment – is being led by Chicago-based general contractor partners Pepper/BMI Construction LLC. The project is expected to be completed in 2027 and its highlights include greater physical accessibility, a new, centralized animal hospital and aquatic science labs, and a flexible and dynamic new space for environmental education.
