Chicago Casino Announcement Comes With Thousands Of Union Jobs

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced in May that Bally’s would be receiving the city’s lone casino contract. With the over $1 billion project comes thousands of union jobs for construction and on-site maintenance after completion.

The proposal from Bally’s entails a $1.7 billion casino project and hotel on a portion of the current industrial Tribune Publishing Center, according to a release from the Mayor’s office.

EST Perinar introduced Lightfoot at the announcement and talked about how these jobs will positively affect our members in and around Chicagoland.

Policymakers and developers across the Regional Council know they can trust Union Carpenters with their most important projects.
