Career Connections Helps High School Students Build Skills

Across the nation, Career Connection textbooks and lesson plans are used in school buildings to teach students how to build skills for the future.

In St. Louis County, MO, University City High School students are learning the carpentry craft while in class. STL Today wrote about the class and their current project of rebuilding a homeowner’s deck that was previously condemned by the city.

After graduation, students will be eligible to start a three-week apprenticeship program that guarantees them a job in the industry.
