Carpenters and floor installers from the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters have been working to reopen Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park as part of the effort to contain the spread of COVID-19. The project created 440 patient care spaces to alleviate pressure on local hospitals. It’s expected to wrap up April 24.
