Union Carpenters Give Back: Pantries For Families In Need

Members of Carpenters #Local174 combined with the Mid America Carpenters Regional Council and the MACRC Apprenticeship Program teamed up and produced big for the communities they live and work in.

The carpenters donated their time and expertise to build 6 micro pantries that will be distributed throughout the City of Joliet. It is the hope of the Carpenters Union that these donations will beam a positive light toward the betterment of Joliet and its people for many years to come.

All material for this project was donated by the Mid America Carpenters Regional Council.

We would like to thank the MACRC Apprenticeship Program Directors, #Local1027 Mill/Cabinet, and #Local174 members who came out on a weekend donating their time and talent to make this a reality. We would also like to thank the Mayor of Joliet Terry Darcy, Joliet City Councilwoman Susan Ibarra, and Pastor Herb Brooks for the inspiration and stopping by showing their support of the carpenters during the build.
