Union Carpenters Celebrate Labor Day

Across the Regional Council, our members were out marching in solidarity with their brothers and sisters and other tradesmen and women celebrating Labor Day and our history.

The first Labor Day was celebrated in the US on Sept. 5, 1882, 140 years later the legacy still lives on. Our co-founder, Peter J. McGuire, was instrumental in getting Labor Day recognized as a federal holiday and ever since labor families and all Americans have been able to benefit from his work.
