Thanks to the quick thinking and actions of Local 174 members Marcus Haussy, Bill Avery, and Jimmy Allen, a fellow tradesman’s life was saved earlier this year.
Our Brothers sprang to action at the Citgo Lemont Refinery when they saw a colleague in the lunchroom in severe distress. Together the three administered CPR, applied an AED, and immediately alerted emergency responders.
Because of those actions the individual was able to return home to see his family. Local 174 President Gary G. Perinar III and Safety Director Al Jotautas recognized Haussy, Avery and Allen for their heroism during a presentation at Local 174’s union meeting this week.
