Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council EST Gary Perinar and US Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) last week discussed the massive infrastructure projects starting up along the Upper Mississippi River.
Included on the list of projects are huge updates on the Upper Mississippi System, including a brand new lock at Lock 25. The funding for the advancements, more than $800 million, was released by the US Army Corps of Engineers in January.
The projects mean millions of manhours for our members across the entire region.
