This year’s Trades Women Build Nations Conference conference was held in Minneapolis from October 4-6th, 2019 and was attended by over 40 Chicago Sisters. It is the most beloved event of the year for many Tradeswomen across the industry. Attendance is always high from around the nation, and even around the world, with every year breaking records. For 2019, there were a little over 2,800 in attendance, with UBC members representing almost 400 towards to the total.

Some of the highlights from the weekend were a special video message from Ruth Bader Ginsburg, NABTU President Sean McGarvey, AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler, UA General President Mark McManus and the annual celebration of the Banner Parade which was led by the Chicago Women in Trades drum line that includes many Chicago Carpenter Sisters.
