Chicago Celebrates 350 Journey Level Carpenters At Annual Apprenticeship Graduation

In October, more than 900 proud union members, families, and friends came together to celebrate 350 newly minted journey-level members from the greater Chicagoland region at the MACRC’s 53rd annual Apprentice Graduation Dinner! These graduates represent the future of our union and we’re all proud of their accomplishments!

The event was at the historic Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier – a venue suitable for an occasion this grand. Special thanks to the distinguished guests and speakers who joined us to honor their hard work and achievements as they begin the next chapter of their union careers. The list of speakers included EST Kevin McLaughlin, IL AFL-CIO President Tim Drea, CFL Secretary-Treasurer Don Villar, MARBA Executive Director Aaron Janik, AGC Chicagoland Executive Director Tom Cuculich and MACRC Training Program Executive Director Craig Triplett.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! You’ve earned it! The best is yet to come.
