The Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council has endorsed a bipartisan list of candidates for Illinois’ local, state and national primary races.
The state’s Primary Election is being held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Members still have time to register even on the day of the election. You can find your polling place on the state board of elections website.
Previously the primary election was held in March, but this year it was moved to June to account for the new census numbers. Because voter turnout is expected to be low, this provides us an opportunity to have a real impact and elect candidates who support carpenter issues.
The names on this bipartisan list of endorsed candidates stand for the values of organized labor and will continue to support our interests at the local, state and federal level. They have our backing because they are strong supporters of collective bargaining rights that provide our members with strong pay, health insurance and retirement benefits. That is the overriding factor we look at when we make endorsements. We have not endorsed in every race so please support other candidates on your ballot as you see fit.
