Recently, the Regional Council hosted the official grand opening of our brand new 55,000 square-foot training center in East Moline.
This new state-of-the-art facility will be used to train thousands of union carpenters and millwrights for the growing work across the Quad Cities region.
Thank you to all the members, apprentices, instructors, contractors, and MACRC leaders who made this new building possible. It was a long time coming and we’re so proud of the standard of excellence it represents.
Special thanks to all the speakers at the Grand Opening, including EST Kevin McLaughlin, Regional Director Dan O’Connell, East Moline Mayor Reggie Freeman, State Senator Mike Halpin, PJ Foley of AGC Quad Cities, Paul Elgatian of Illowa Millwright Contractors, MACRC Training Program Chairman Jerry Thiel, and MACRC Training Program Executive Director Craig Triplett.
