The Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters has endorsed State Sen. Mike Hastings (D-Frankfort) in his bid to replace retiring Illinois Secretary of State Jess White.
Hastings announced his candidacy earlier this month at the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters Apprentice and Training Center in Elk Grove Village, where he showered praise on the men and women of our union for building Illinois. Hastings is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in Iraq. He is a strong advocate for working families and has always been there to support unions.
“Mike’s background, experience, legislative record, and work ethic give me the utmost confidence that he is the right person for this job,” said EST Perinar.
