Carpenters Answering the Call

Local 13 members have been busy at Stroger Hospital of Cook County erecting a temporary drive-through COVID-19 screening shelter to help increase testing capacity. If anyone has symptoms of COVID-19 when they come through the testing facility they will be sent to a separate area of the hospital to prevent spreading the virus. Thanks to our members working on the project, including Foreman Bill Groth, Mike Marquardt, Milton Colvin and Bill Vrabel. They are just a few of our several members doing tremendous work to help healthcare workers weather the storm and treat patients who need it most.

In the coming weeks we will be highlighting more stories of our members doing their part to help in the fight against Coronavirus. We’re proud of the work they’re doing that’s making a difference.

Strong alone, Unstoppable Together.
