Apprenticeships Hold Signing Day For Future Journeymen

Training centers across the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council held signing day events with the future journeymen carpenters.

You’ve seen signing days for college athletes, well the MACRC brought that same energy and excitement to the Carpenters Union.

In Kansas City, Hartline Construction, E&K Companies, and Nebel Construction Service took part in signing five area high school graduates. Each one of the new apprentices graduated at the top of their class and received $500 in tools from Milwaukee Tool.

In East Peoria, IL, a signing day was held for Morton High School grad Anthony Gillam. Anthony participated in a Skills USA program through Morton and has been working with signatory contractor Otto Baum for the last year as a shop hand. He signed with Otto Baum recently with company President Terry Baum in attendance.

Thank you to all of the family members, contractors and educators who came to celebrate this momentous occasion to start their career!
