"Frederick P Kowalski, born March 9th, 1956, a Wausau, WI native, loving husband and partner for 35 years to Colleen T Duffy-Kowalski, loving father, amazing soccer coach, and perfectionist teacher to Conor Frederick and Max Stephan, son of Vye (Violet) Pashilk Kowalski Hastreiter++ and Steve (Stephan) Kowalski++, historic Guernsey Dairy Farm Family from Wausau, identical twin brother to Ted (Caren) Kowalski, brother to Rollie (Faye++) Kowalski, Ken (Lyn) Kowalski, Mary Sue (Tom++) Rucki, Virginia Laura Kowalski, Ben (Meli) Kowalski, and Viv (Duane) Goupell, passed away Thursday, January 30th, 2025 in the city of Chicago were he resided since 1988. He was a remarkable Son, Godson, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Great Uncle, and Caring Cousin to many. He was an altar boy at St. Michael’s in Wausau and achieved The 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus status in Chicago. He was a gifted tradesman who recently retired from working with The City of Chicago Department of Aviation, was a Journeyman and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Chicago Regional Council Carpenters, Local 54, for nearly 40 years. A life-long skilled master craftsman and carpenter, scuba diver, construction and building manager, live music enthusiast, locksmith, athlete, electrician, celestial admirer, designer, architect, landlord, and lover of all things water; a true Renaissance Man. We will miss his smile, his laughter, the road trips, the family visits, his wanderlust, his passionate temper, and especially his clever sarcasm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
