Kansas City Wage Theft Ordinance Passed

Another success in our ongoing fight against Wage Theft!

A man in a suit speaks at a city council meeting. Text details the Kansas City Wage Theft Ordinance, outlining penalties, adding a labor seat to a board, and criminalizing wage theft. #StopWageTheft and a carpenters’ council logo are shown.

Earlier this month, Kansas City passed its first ever Wage Theft ordinance to hold cheating contractors accountable.

Thanks to Councilman O’Neill for drafting the ordinance & to the City Council for leveling the playing field and standing with working families!
