Under the guidance of Carpenter instructors Bill Close and Karen Knabe, Job Corps student volunteers helped Misericordia Heart of Mercy prepare the shelving and structures for its 28th Annual Family Fest in September.
Job Corps is the nation's largest and most comprehensive residential education and job- training program for at-risk youth, ages 16 through 24. Administered by the Department of Labor, Job Corps combines classroom, practical and work-based learning experiences to prepare youth for stable, long-term, high-paying jobs.
