This course will educate the decision makers in the construction industry what green flooring is made of. The participants will learn the unique characteristics of installing the new generation of green flooring, and how maintaining a floor has evolved with the green movement. The participants will learn how to meet their green goals. The course begins by explaining the EPA pyramid, and then we discuss how manufacturers are introducing green methods. The course then describes green floor covering including; VCT, resilient, linoleum, rubber, synthetic turf, wood, bamboo, laminate, and carpet. The course also describes how achieving LEED Indoor Environmental Quality goals may help curb employee absenteeism, increase productivity, and retention. INSTALL, the nationally developed training program, designed for installers to achieve the dependability, precision, and professionalism the craft demands, will be presented along with its applicability to architects.
