Training Center featured on WGN-TV Morning News

The Around Town segment of the WGN TV Morning News featured live broadcasts from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. from the Carpenters Apprentices and Training Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois on Thursday, May 29^th.

Producer Terry Barthel and Photographer Mary Bohentin spent three hours at the Training Center showcasing air personality Ana Belavel (in the pink hardhat) as she reported on floor covering, welding, interior and exterior trim and framing.

The Carpenter Training Center (CTC) provides the training for 40,000 Pre-Apprentices, Apprentice and Journeyman Union Carpenters in the Central Region of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters (CRCC). The Chicago Regional counties are Cook,

Du Page, Grundy, Iroquois, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will.

Every year 7,000 of our members take advantage of 300 evening and weekend classes offered in our Carpenter Skill Advancement Program. These programs are taught in several languages and are offered at our five training centers.
